“This building has very poor soundproofing, the walls are thin. There's a lot of construction going on in the area, and it's very noisy. The pool was closed several times for a month or two at a time. They said they were heating it, but no, it's still just as cold. The driveway to the building is inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend anyone move in here, especially with children. The price is unjustified.”

“Maison VI was the absolute worst experience in 30 years of renting and living abroad. It looked great, but living there exposed the abysmal quality, awful management, terrible construction and appalling health and safety issues in and of this building.
Apartment and building fit and finish was EXCEEDINGLY poor - internal doors that did not close, uphill drains, entry door mechanism that didn't work right for 6 months & 7 repair attempts, multiple hollow tiles, multiple water spots and moisture in the walls, bubbling paint, paint peeling and flaking off, tile grout coming up in huge chunks, sliding doors that never worked correctly or sealed against the elements, sewer gas smells from the drains, bugs and flies coming from the sink and floor drains, noise, etc.
Summer DEWA was over 1000/mo, Ista chiller bills as high as 1400/mo, Lootah gas 2-300 per quarter.
- Large terrace we paid extra for was an ashtray for the LIT CIGARETTE BUTTS of residents above. After over 20+ complaints, burnt belongings, and hundreds of cigarette butts, they finally hung a sign in the elevators threatening fines. It slowed down, but ours and three other neighbors' patio furniture/carpets were also burned by cigarette butts.
- When it rained, our apartment flooded. The terrace had water over 8cm deep, water coming in every sliding door, and they sent ONE GUY with a squeegee mop. I had to tell him to clear the drain on the balcony before the roof collapsed.
- Hot water was centrally supplied, and DID NOT WORK for more than 6 months. It maxed out at 39-40C for 5 months. We were boiling water in a tea kettle to bathe and wash dishes. Mgmt told me to be grateful for the free "hot" water.
- NO reliable water pressure for months during the summer. Bidet's were totally inoperable.
- After 7+ attempts by the building to fix the front door, I did it myself.
- Sliding doors didn't work, the "maintenance" man they sent to fix it cut off the weather sealing. Required installation of new weather stripping - half a day with no door. In the summer. None of the sliding doors ever sealed properly.
- Glass breakage above us caused a 10 minute broken glass shower on our terrace.
- Over a dozen rivets worked out of the façade after mild winds, landing on our terrace. We were assured it "wasn't a problem, the façade (is) also glued on..."
- Months of constant construction noise as they corrected issues in other apartments throughout the building.
- No noise insulation at all in the building, you could hear cars in the garage start up as if they were in your living room.
- Absolutely terrible banging noises at all hours with no explanation or correction - coming from the building. I counted over 100 per day at management's request, but they never figured it or did anything to correct it.
- We lived on the same floor as the gym, and every time someone dropped a dumbbell, it shook our whole apartment. Took months of pleading for them to hang a sign.
They tried to raise the rent after a year of this hell. We were well above average rental rates in JVC. I declined, explained the laws, was told they knew better & would I please sign with no negotiation with a HUGE fee for maintenance UP FRONT.
No. We moved out before the lease was up. After we moved out, while we still an active lease/Ejari/residence, they entered the apartment without permission against my express written directions. There were things that worked when I left, but broken when they did the final walkthrough. They deducted this mysterious breakage from my security deposit.
They promised a refund of my security deposit. None yet, even though I vacated early at their request so the new tenant could take possession. Refund took SEVEN WEEKS.
I was told by management before I left "you make good salary, what do you care?" I paid 95K to live there. Biggest waste of money in my entire life, I'd had better living conditions in active combat zones.
Maison VI was a screaming NIGHTMARE the entire time we lived there.”

“Management will require you to pay service package for maintenance and when we didnt subscribe we had a hard time when we need service, even if we outsource, they were not allowed to enter at the time.
Our flat ended up with a lot of cockroaches and needed a full house pest control twice . Construction on 3 corners so its noisy all day..
No parking for guests, pool is not temperature regulated so its always cold on winter or too hot on summer.
Difficult to stay at specially if u have a child. No pathway to walk them outside and its very dusty.”

“If you are thinking of moving into this building, don't. This building has no soundproofing at all. You will hear the neighbors, people at the pool, and, worst of all, there is currently construction on all three sides of the building, so you can hear the machines non-stop. If you work the morning shift, don't worry—the sound of the machines will wake you up at 6 AM; you don't have to set an alarm. The pool is cute, but you can't enjoy it anymore because of the noise. The terraces are constantly dirty because of the dust from the construction.
Management decided to enter the parking lot through license plate recognition. We all had to register, and when it went into effect, it didn't work. This means you can't enter the parking lot, and security won't open the ramp for you even though they see you waiting in front.
If you want to have annual maintenance, you have to pay extra for that, depending on the size of the apartment.
There are cockroaches; I see them all the time in the garbage room. Building management often does pest control, but there are still some. I call pest control twice a year for my apartment.”
