What one reviewer said

“The building is very bad and the elevator is constantly broken. There are three elevators; two of them are out of service all the time. One elevator has been broken for more than a year and a half. There is also a lot of chaos in the morning and evening. I do not recommend this building to anyone at all”

Each card is a real, public Google review of this residence, sorted into our ten questions – answered only where the reviewer said something, and marked “Not answered” where they didn’t. “A total mess! Security and property management are taking a blind sight with some rooms are being used as labor camp or sharing accommodation. One of the lifts is not working for a year now. Security personnel thinks that they are flat or building owners. They should undergo basic Dubai rules, law training, and some respect to the tenants or guests.”

“My husband and I were looking to buy an apartment in this building. Problem 1. The realtor shared a picture of the Emirates ID and cheque of another buyer for a certain apartment. Was this a tactical way to pressure us into a bidding war? Either way - it's completely 100% illegal to share this without the other bidder's consent. Problem 2. The security then asked us to hand in our Emirates IDs to be allowed to enter the building, which we kindly refused. Then they became aggressive, condescending, and extremely pushy. Yelling loudly and humiliating us publicly, using arguments like "you're wrong", "you have to follow the rules of Dubai" etc. We tried to explain it to them, but the longer we tried, the more arrogant and louder they became. We left and were unable to see the (overpriced) apartment after dark. I cannot imagine these buildings being an appropriate place for us, nor our future guests. Maybe they aren't aware of the actual law - so let me write it here, hoping to improve future visits for others Neither security personnel nor realtors in Dubai are allowed to take your Emirates ID or share a picture of it with anyone else. Here's why: Taking your Emirates ID: It's illegal: According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (FAICCPPS), it is against the law for anyone to seize or withhold someone else's Emirates ID. This applies to security personnel in buildings, as well as anyone else. It's a privacy violation: Your Emirates ID contains sensitive personal information such as your name, photo, date of birth, nationality, and visa status. Sharing this information without your consent is a violation of your privacy. Alternatives exist: Security personnel can verify your identity by asking you to present your ID and taking down its details, without actually holding onto it. They can also issue temporary visitor passes without requiring your ID as collateral. Sharing a picture of your Emirates ID: It's illegal: Sharing a picture of someone else's Emirates ID without their consent is also illegal. It's risky: Sharing your ID picture online or with anyone you don't know puts you at risk of identity theft. Fraudsters could use your information to access your bank accounts, steal your identity, or commit other crimes. What to do if someone asks for your Emirates ID or takes a picture of it: Politely but firmly refuse to give them your ID or let them take a picture of it. Remind them that it is illegal for them to do so. You can also file a complaint with the FAICCPPS. Here are some additional resources: Emirates ID Official Portal: https://icp.gov.ae/en/ Dubai Police website: https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/ FAICCPPS website: https://icp.gov.ae/en/ Remember, your Emirates ID is a valuable document and you should always protect it carefully. Never give it out to anyone you don't trust, and be wary of anyone who asks for it or takes a picture of it without your consent. I hope this information is helpful!”

“Maintainance very demanded towards residents, but not to itself. 1. Dirty in and out of the building 2. One of the lift constantly broken 3. Maintenance not fixing issues 4. Smell, strong sewage smell that you can't open window on winter nice weather Overall place is nice, if they would take care of it Government should pay attention to sewage issue in Dubai”

“Awful building with cockroaches. An alarm woke everyone up, so loud it hurt your ears. People ran downstairs in whatever they were wearing. As I understood it, it was some kind of malfunction, since it went off several more times after that. There's nothing nearby. Desert and bushes. Rent is not much cheaper than other areas, but it's not worth it.”
