Google only lets other sites show up to five of its reviews, so this is a sample - 447 people have rated this home on Google. Each card is a real, public Google review, sorted into our ten questions - answered only where the reviewer said something, and marked “Not answered” where they didn’t. These come from Google, not from verified residents, so they count for only a small part of the HT Index, never as much as a real resident review.

“DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL
We booked 6 nights at this hotel and immediately
after turning up late at night we realised this hotel was not up to the advertised standard. The whole place is dirty and smelly. I would not eat anything at this hotel. It looks like it’s not been updated for around 15 years. All the tiles are cracked and crooked in the pool area. The place is full of overground foliage and the whole resort doesn’t look like the photos online. This whole area is also a building site. You can tell any of the good reviews must of been requested from the staff directly as it’s impossible for this resort to have so many good reviews. We immediately told the staff we couldn’t stay there and moved to better hotel. One of them was smiling as we told them. Now they just told us we can’t get a refund for any of the unused nights. This place is a disgrace and need knocking down and rebuilding. We thought all the resorts in the palm would be nice. GO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS PLACE. PLEASE
DONT MAKE SAME MISTAKE AS US.”

“I booked a one-month stay at the North Residences of Anantara The Palm with high expectations, but unfortunately decided to leave early due to the overall experience.
The biggest issue was the constant noise and overcrowded atmosphere. Sitting on the balcony was rarely relaxing, as the lagoon and pool areas were extremely loud throughout the day, with continuous shouting, children screaming, and heavy activity. The residences felt far too busy and lacked the peaceful, refined environment one would expect at this price point.
There also seemed to be very little control over short-term visitors and overall guest behavior. Corridors were often noisy, with people talking loudly late into the evening, and strong cooking odors from neighboring apartments frequently reached inside the room. In addition, there was ongoing renovation and maintenance work almost every morning, with drilling and hammering noises making it difficult to sleep or properly relax.
I was also disappointed by the level of cleanliness and hygiene in the residence. Housekeeping standards did not feel consistently maintained, and the common areas often appeared overused due to the large number of guests.
One particularly concerning experience happened while swimming in the lagoon area. A young child was operating a fast remote-controlled boat very close to guests in the water, while both the father and the lifeguard watched without intervening. It created an unsafe and poorly supervised environment. Overall, I found the management and pool supervision far too passive, especially considering how crowded the lagoon and pool areas become.
After spending significant time in the pool facilities, my wife unfortunately developed a severe throat infection. While it is impossible to know the exact cause, the hygiene standards around the pool areas did raise concerns. We repeatedly observed guests behaving in ways that did not reflect the level of cleanliness and etiquette expected in a luxury resort environment.
The property itself has potential, but the atmosphere felt chaotic rather than elegant or relaxing. For the same price range, there are far more refined, peaceful, and better-managed options in Dubai. Sadly, this stay did not meet the standards we expected from a luxury residence, and I would not personally return or recommend it for guests seeking tranquility, comfort, and high-end hospitality.”

“Disappointing and Misleading Experience at Anantara The Palm Dubai
I would like to share my very disappointing experience with Anantara The Palm Dubai, which was based on misleading information provided by their marketing representatives.
My family and I were approached at Nakheel Mall by an Anantara marketing representative named Jullnar, who invited us to visit the hotel for what she described as a new family-friendly event. She clearly stated that we could participate in the event and receive complimentary access to the hotel or another complimentary experience. Based on this information, we agreed to visit the hotel with our family, including our two young children, expecting a pleasant and family-oriented experience.
However, upon arrival at the hotel, no one was expecting us. The reception staff informed us that there was no event at all, and that this was simply a marketing appointment intended to sell hotel services. This was not what was explained to us at the mall, and it felt extremely misleading.
Additionally, the reception lady from the marketing department was not polite or welcoming. Her attitude made us feel uncomfortable, and it seemed as though our presence with children was an inconvenience. There was no kids’ area, no child-friendly space offered, and no effort from the staff to accommodate families with children.
The sales representative then proceeded to pressure us into purchasing a hotel package priced at approximately AED 90,000. This was clearly the main objective of the visit, despite the promise of a family event. Due to the lack of transparency and the uncomfortable environment, it was difficult to even focus on the presentation, especially as our children were left to entertain themselves in a crowded marketing area.
Overall, this experience was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and misleading. The most disappointing aspect was the false information provided by the marketing representative at Nakheel Mall, who described the visit as a family event rather than a sales-driven presentation.
I expect a hotel brand like Anantara to uphold high standards of honesty, customer service, and family hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations, and I would not recommend this type of invitation to families.”

“would not recommend staying in these residences and was very disappointed with my experience.
The greatest issue is overcrowding. The pools, lagoon, beach area, and public spaces are extremely busy, largely due to the large number of day visitors. As a paying resident, it never felt exclusive or relaxing. The atmosphere was often noisy, with constant shouting, children playing, and overcrowded facilities.
The residences themselves suffer from maintenance and cleanliness issues. There were persistent unpleasant odors in the corridors, including cooking smells and occasional sewage-like smells. Ongoing construction and repair work made it difficult to rest, with noise starting early in the morning on many days.
Unfortunately, the property feels dated and lacks the level of upkeep one would expect from a luxury resort. The residence we stayed in showed visible signs of wear, and requests for assistance regarding cleanliness and maintenance were not handled satisfactorily.
The location on Palm Jumeirah is beautiful, with lovely landscaping and greenery, and this remains the property’s strongest asset. However, the overall experience did not reflect the tranquility, exclusivity, and refined atmosphere that I associate with the Anantara brand.
For those seeking a peaceful luxury retreat, there are better options available in Dubai.”

“Residence with my family for an extended period and, overall, my experience has been positive. The beautiful greenery, lagoon, large pools, and the friendliness of most staff members are the reasons we chose to stay here. While the pools can become very crowded on weekends, I have generally been happy with the property and the service.
Unfortunately, I recently experienced an incident that was so upsetting that I feel management should address it urgently.
Residents are provided with access cards for the parking gate. Our card occasionally fails to work, and in such situations security staff have always assisted us by opening the gate after confirming our residency. This has never been an issue before.
At approximately 2:30 AM, after returning from dinner, our access card once again failed to open the gate. We waited, then politely used the horn to get the attention of security. After some time, a security guard named Osman approached us in an extremely aggressive and confrontational manner.
Instead of assisting us or verifying our residency, he began shouting, accusing us of damaging property, and repeatedly refused to open the gate. He stated that we would never be allowed to enter again and claimed he would instruct other security staff not to assist us in the future. The conversation escalated unnecessarily and became very intimidating.
As a long-term resident, I was shocked by the complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality displayed during this interaction. One unpleasant encounter cannot erase the many positive experiences I have had at Anantara, but it certainly damaged the sense of comfort and security that residents should feel in their own home.
I strongly encourage management and the security supervisors to investigate this incident and provide additional training where necessary. No resident should feel threatened, intimidated, or unwelcome while simply trying to access the property where they live.
I sincerely hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.”
