“Dear Ellington, You call your investors now part of the "Ellington family", but would family let their loved ones lay on bird faeces? All these reviews point to this concerning issue that you seem to dismiss, why don't you explain for once why it hasn't been resolved? You also claim to be the most perfect developer for the end user, to give them a good life and healthy environment, again is it healthy to swim in a pool surrounded by bird faeces? You claim to be prestigious now where is all the prestige when you don't resolve your issues? You're priced at a premium compared to other developers but seems your after sales experience is not so premium after all. I beg you to prove me wrong. Unfortunately I was about to invest in one of your units until I saw all these deeply alarming reviews. A word of advice: practice what you preach. I send you my sincere prayers to do better.”

“Stay away for your health and safety! We have been living here for three years and the place is going to shambles. There has been a water leakage last year and since then the place is full of black mold. Regular tenants have been moving out and now most apartments are Airbnb. There is zero maintenance. The sunbeds never get cleaned. Please don’t swim in the pool. The water is full of animal excrements. The exterminator is a regular guest here. We have left and now my daughter’s asthma and allergies have considerably improved. We think it had been linked to the mold in Ellington.”

“AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST. The common areas are full of bird feces and animal excrements. Feces is floating in the pool. Absolutely unhygienic. Kids are getting sick and needed to be hospitalized. Cockroaches allover the common areas. When you ask maintenance staff for help they make excuses they need to take budget approval from management to clean the area. This has been going on for months. All common areas are empty now as they are absolutely unusable.”

“We were planning to buy an apartment here, but now we changed our mind. Our experience with DT1 by Ellington management was highly unsatisfactory. The building's service and maintenance are outsourced to a third-party company, but any action they need to take must be approved by the management. Unfortunately, the management often fails to take necessary actions, leading to numerous issues. For instance, the gym is inadequately equipped and too small to accommodate residents' needs. Two months ago, a piece of equipment broke down, but it still hasn't been repaired despite multiple requests. When we inquire about it with security, they simply inform us that they've forwarded the issue to management, who never respond. Additionally, maintenance requests within our apartment are routinely ignored or receive delayed responses. When our shower became blocked, we sought help from reception, only to be told it was a paid service. Despite sending multiple emails to management, no action was taken, leaving us in a frustrating situation. Furthermore, when we signed our one-year contract and paid the fees, the air conditioning system malfunctioned the next day. Despite promptly reporting the issue via email, we received no response. Having previously lived in Emaar properties in Downtown Dubai, we can't help but compare the service quality. Unlike DT1, Emaar's response to maintenance issues was swift and efficient. If something happened, a simple phone call ensured that the problem was addressed within an hour. Overall, the poor management and lack of responsiveness at DT1 by Ellington have made our living experience far from enjoyable.”

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!! The building looks nice however there are a lot of hidden issues: 1. lights keep flickering although repaired multiple times (my guess is that something with the electricals was done wrong when built) 2. toilets block all the time. we requested repair but after just a few days blocked again... 3. there are water marks on the roof coming back after supposedly fixed 4. there was a cockroach in our flat after pest control done in the building which is not a good sign as it means they are coming out due to the treatment In addition, the management team is incompetent and they are not addressing issues. 1. They came 8 times for the lights. 2. When fixing the toilets they did not put back the screw so the toilet top is moving around. 3. The sunbeds are all dirty and apparently we are not the only residents complaining but they are doing nothing. 4. They did window cleaning when residents were at the pool. Water with dirt was splashed on all the towels, including my phone left on the sunbed (we told the pool team but they just laughed)”
