“Mixed experience as a tenant here. A few honest notes for anyone considering the building. Building quality: Good and well maintained. Pest issues: About halfway through my tenancy, a cockroach problem started and became difficult to manage. It got bad enough that I had to throw away a few electronic appliances, as roaches had gotten inside them. Worth asking management about pest control history before signing. Parking: My unit came with a parking spot that wasn’t actually covered by the building (just a tent-style cover) so my car ended up with bird droppings on it almost daily. If covered parking matters to you, clarify exactly what “covered” means before committing. Move-out/deposit: At handover, my unit was confirmed to be in proper condition, but a deduction was still made from my security deposit for what should be considered normal wear and tear. Despite repeated polite requests, I was never shown a contract clause requiring these replacements, nor any documentation of damage. The explanation also shifted over the course of the conversation. I did my due diligence from the start: took dated photos at move-in, timely move-out notice, everything in writing, and I read and adhered to every clause in my addendum. My advice to future tenants is to do the same, and to clarify parking and pest control before signing. At the end of the day, a good building will only take you so far; The people managing it are what really make or break the experience.”
