What one reviewer said

“I previously provided a one-star review; however, after a year, I have observed significant enhancements across all facilities. The staff now exhibit increased professionalism and a more welcoming demeanor. I particularly commend an African gentleman who meticulously inspects and audits the premises, often documenting his findings with photographs. His attention to detail, even to minor elements such as dust on tables in the swimming pool areas, is truly commendable. Furthermore, the swimming pool loungers have been updated, which is a welcome improvement. The parking area is no longer dimly lit, and Elevator 3 has finally been restored to service after a year. It is evident that the new ma…”

“I rarely leave negative reviews, but this time I simply cannot stay silent. I have been living in this building for the past couple of years, and I want to make a serious complaint about the maintenance service, the staff, and the overall condition of the property. Every time you call maintenance, there is always an excuse. They are either “having lunch” or “changing shifts.” As a result, you usually have to wait 30–45 minutes before anyone even arrives. Then, after they finally come, they leave again to get their tools, which takes another 15–20 minutes. In total, you end up wasting around an hour of your time just waiting for maintenance to start doing their job. This is completely unacceptable. What makes the situation even worse is the attitude of the staff. They are often rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of trying to help residents, they make you feel like you are disturbing them by asking them to do their job. Good customer service seems to be completely lacking. Unfortunately, this is only one of many ongoing issues in the building. The gym equipment has not been properly upgraded or replaced for years. We have two treadmills that are constantly breaking down, and they are rarely repaired properly. Light bulbs regularly burn out and are left unreplaced for long periods. The hallways often smell unpleasant and are not cleaned to an acceptable standard. There are recurring problems with cockroaches and rubbish around the building. For the service charges residents pay, the level of maintenance and management is extremely disappointing. The building deserves much better management and much higher standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. I sincerely hope management takes these issues seriously and starts making real improvements instead of continuing to ignore residents’ complaints.”

It is evident that the new management and all personnel have implemented substantial and positive changes. I trust these improvements will be sustained. Consequently, I am revising my review from one star to three stars, with the aspiration that it will soon reach four or five stars.”

“We are still living in this building, and someone continues throwing cigarette ashes straight onto our balcony. The management has been informed repeatedly and has done absolutely nothing about it. Zero standards, zero accountability, and clearly no concern for residents’ safety or hygiene. Definitely not a family-friendly place, especially if you have children.!!!”

“horrible place for a Downtown apartment. -Loud & inconsiderate neighbors have to call security everyday , yet they do nothing about it. People turning up music, moving furniture & slamming doors at midnight. -Building quality is so low that from your room you can hear people speak in the next door apartment. -Maintenance is absolutely useless & clueless , new thing breaks everyday & have called them over 10 times yet they did nothing, and homeowner pays over 28,000 dhs yearly service charge for nothing. Materials used for building is so cheap you can constantly hear LOUD cracking of windows. building is by the highway, you constantly hear LOUD car racing sounds even from high floor, when windows are supposed to be sound proof. Service is extremely poor as building staff are absolutely clueless & managers are always hiding & never care for any matter, to the point that I had to call the police for neighbors disturbance . Do yourself a favor & never buy or reside here because you will never have peace. Can’t wait for my contract to be over so I can move out.”

“Renting an apartment for a year, already lived here for six months. Pros: - very convenient location; - nice renovation; - several 24-hour shops nearby; - guest parking available; - nice terrace and pool on 6th floor; - accessible grill area for relaxing with friends; - 24-hour reception, they help resolve urgent service issues; - normal sound insulation, nearby construction is barely audible; - pet-friendly building, we live with a cat. Cons: - AC leaks once every two months; - gym has old equipment and lacks some basic inventory, they don't respond to requests to add it; - pool opens only at 9am; - chairs and sofa are not very comfortable, basic. Overall very satisfied with living here, can recommend”

“We live in Dubai for 11 years. I just did the mistake and moved here but I can not wait for my yearly contract to finish. 1. Corridors, entrance lobby and toilets in the gym and pool level smell as mold/wet, a very strong and disgusting smell. Dear Damac, If this can not be fixed cod you at least place some nice smelling devices to change this awful odor? 2. Some of the staff are lovely, but majority do not speak english so it is difficult to comunicate with. Few are also extremely rude, unhelpful, they seem so unhappy being here. They look as not taking care of, not well groomed like other buildings employees in Downtown. Dear Damac, could you provide grooming lessons and standard for your Downtown Employee? 3. Accessing the lift to go to the parking space or to your floor, you require a QR code/ or your id to be register. That is awful! I had several issues with the damac living app, doesn’t work and reception refuse to assist with the QR code. 4. Furniture in the apartment it is bulky, big and not practical. colours not matching : black, gold, grey, silver, green, purple, beige, white, blue, all in one living room: the standard furniture provided by Damac designers. I thought I can reorganize and make it look like Home. Big mistake, nothing can change this design, only throwing everything and buying new furniture. Dear Damac, Have you thought taking some young designers with modern study and use some practical quality furnitures for your hotel -apartment buildings? 5. Parking space very difficult to access, the corridors small, difficult to enter with a big SUV. Update: if u are coming with groceries and u need help from the concierge, even if this is a hotel apartment, nobody will help you! And they even say : make sure to bring the trolley down! First time in 12 years of living in Downtown Dubai *Location is the only positive aspect of living here. Will I recommend it ? No! Will I ever buy Damac? No! Will I ever rent Damac ? No! Will I finish my rent? Yes! I did a mistake choosing Damac ? Yes ! Dear Damac, please improve your future projects and fix your previous projects. Update: rude new receptionist that thinks she is the government. I had a lady coming for interview for helper. She did not allow her because she had no visa. But had her passport. Teach your staff that you need a job and a sponsor for visa, and if they do not allow to go for interview once presenting the passport, they will never get a visa. They could call the apartment for clarifications but they do now. However they allow a certain category of ladies doing “the oldest job in the world” to enter without asking documents or anything. New update: after they did the pest control in common area, my apartment got infested with cockroaches. I book a pest control from outside ( not the one provided by them) and guess what? I had to send over 30! Yes 30 emails with the infinite list of documents asked and go several times to the reception to get the approval for the pest control. What receptionist was doing ? Chatting with the security once, chatting with another random guy another time, on her phone another time, so of course se did not see the email. What the building manager were doing ? Every time On phones also chatting - as the door to their office was open:) Regards, A very disappointed tenant.”

“Damac Upper Crest offers an attractive blend of breathtaking Downtown views, highly walkable location next to Dubai Mall, ( Its proximity to Dubai Mall —accessible via an 8-minute ) and well-equipped amenities—all wrapped in furnished apartments managed with hotel-like services. It’s an excellent choice if you’re seeking convenience and spectacular vistas at a competitive value. However, while general reviews highlight strong positives, be aware that some amenities and housekeeping experiences may vary—and broader developer reputation concerns remain in mind when investing long term. Commentary about DAMAC broadly often cites concerns over build quality, service issues, and higher-than-average fees on some other projects”
