“Congestion is extreme and parking vanishes after nine in the evening”

“For motorists Al Khail Gate presents a genuine ordeal. Congestion is extreme and parking vanishes after nine in the evening. What was once free guest parking used by residents sharing flats is now charged at thirty dirhams for a full day. Food stores are overcrowded. Age of the structures guarantees plumbing difficulties. Upkeep is provided free of charge up to a certain limit. Public transport is equally congested. Spaces for walking and sitting exist but are crowded. Population density is high. Upper floors (seventh or eighth) can provide attractive views depending on orientation; some buildings overlook industrial zones. The district is no longer reserved for families; numerous single occupants now occupy bed spaces. (Positives: Afforable. Negatives: Rush.)”
