“The overall experience has been highly unsatisfactory. Courteous treatment continues only until the tenancy agreement is signed, after which the relationship changes. On departure a charge of 2 000 AED was levied for painting a one-bedroom apartment that required no such work because no nail had ever been driven into the walls. Return of the keys was refused until the final DEWA bill arrived, and an additional 800 AED was then charged for the days during which DEWA delayed the bill. Overcharging extends to every service, including the production of an extra key. (Positives: Pool. Negatives: Everything else.)”
