“When we initially rented the unit on the 3rd floor, we were not informed that the gym would be the floor directly above us on the 4th floor. Nor were we informed that it was going to be a commercial gym that is open 24 hours 7 days a week. Nor were we told that we would have to pay for gym access. So we have had to live with construction noise for the last 5 months while the gym was fitted out. Then GymNation Downtown Dubai finally opened in July and all we have heard all day and night is thudding from people dropping weights. We then found out it’s a 24 hour gym after the fact. So even at 11 PM, 2 AM, 3 AM, 4 AM we are hearing noise disturbances. This should not be allowed. We have complai…”

“We live on the 3rd floor, and right above us is GymNationn, banging nonstop all day and night. It’s 2 a.m., and we just cannot sleep! Despite knowing there are residential units, they don’t seem to care enough to restrict noise during nighttime hours to allow us some peace. Between Wasllll approving a gym above residential floors and GymNationnnnn’s disregard for the disruption they cause, I can’t decide which is worse.”

“Avoid this tower at all costs. We as tenants were mislead to believe we would have a private gym, only for Wasl to keep it private. On top of that it is a 24 hour gym and the noise keeps all the tenants awake through the night. Disaster.”

“Moving out at the start of next month and it cannot come soon enough. Constant banging noises from the 24HOUR gym. Fob for parking access never works, it’s a constant annoyance having to call security out to fix whilst every car trying to get past is honking. The doors into the building from parking are never locked, even though they are meant to be card access. This is a huge security issue considering the gym goers constantly sneak in and use our private parking. They can access anywhere they like. Apartments are poorly and cheaply finished. We have had constant issues, especially with our bathrooms -bad construction so water doesn’t drain -Shattaf constantly breaking -shower units rusty within a month of us being here -bad smells coming up from drains Building is cold and bare. Noise Carrie’s up and down the corridor constantly due to the cheap finish of the building- zero effort to keep up with the aesthetic of most luxury apartments - perhaps a rug here and there. Maybe a plant or 2 on each floor. I could keep going but you get the idea- not a good place to live and I cannot wait to leave. 1 year has been long enough for my husband and I.”

“We live on the 14th floor, we love the building and its location. Cons: The greatest downside of the building is that the tenants cannot have a private gym to workout and are forced to use Gymnation (always with a lot of people) what was promised to before renting the apartment. For a car to pick you up, there is only one strip and its a mess. Al Wasl should build in the pavement a waiting area for at least two cars to facilitate pick-ups. Pros: 2 bedrooms with 1400sqft is a great space Loads of natural light Great view to Jumeirah/sea side Great location as its walking distance to city walk and to DIFC, super central. You can pay for an extra parking space, what is quite rare in buildings nowadays Great value for money”
