“The community itself is strong. Position is excellent and everyday needs can be met nearby. Apartment sizes are generous—an important factor in avoiding the cramped feeling found in many other city buildings. Trees and birds form the outstanding feature; without them the character of the place would be greatly diminished. Significant drawbacks nevertheless exist. Walls are extremely thin. To such a degree that the bedroom is no longer used (despite payment for a one-bedroom unit) because a neighbour’s loud alarm sounds for an extended period every early morning, creating the impression that the neighbour is inside the room. The disturbance is severe, particularly at that hour, and renders the space uncomfortable rather than restful. Occasional noise from the floor above (furniture movement and similar) is less intrusive. The cooling provider sometimes applies excessive charges, and the management company fails to respond to electronic correspondence. (Positives: Greenery, Birds, Location, Spacious Apartment. Negatives: Thin walls, noisy workers, unresponsive management.)”
