“Arrival in August 2019 followed seventeen years in Sharjah and was accompanied by considerable anxiety, yet a year later the decision appears sound. Abundant trees and plants create a visually pleasing environment; morning walks and cycling are especially enjoyable. The balcony outlook onto greenery and birdsong is much appreciated. IBN Mall stands immediately opposite and meets most daily needs, although many of its offerings are expensive. The subsequent opening of Festival Plaza with IKEA and Lulu has provided a valuable additional resource. New exits and entrances created in the past six to eight months have improved accessibility. Completion of metro works is awaited so that road links between the Gardens and Discovery Gardens can open. The sole drawback is the high cost of district cooling in addition to DEWA and rent. Overall the location ranks among the best residential choices in Dubai and is held in genuine affection. (Positives: Greenery and the ambiance. Best place 2 Stay Fit. Negatives: No small time groceries, stationary & laundry.)”
