The Gardens is a Nakheel community at the Jebel Ali end of Sheikh Zayed Road, next to Discovery Gardens and Ibn Battuta Mall. It covers about 220 hectares: roughly 129 low-rise blocks holding some 3,800 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, laid out around planting that has had two decades to fill in.
Around ten thousand people live here, mostly families, and rents are low for the space and the greenery. Ibn Battuta station is close, which counts for a lot this far out. The buildings date from the early 2000s and the fittings show it, parking fills up, and how well a block has been maintained is the main thing that varies.
