“API Tower stands adjacent to the Byblos and Tryp hotels. Building management provides no meaningful assistance; numerous formal requests and complaints have gone unanswered. Indifference appears to be the prevailing attitude. Last summer the pool remained closed for renovation from mid-June until early August—precisely the peak season—an arrangement that is difficult to justify. Only two sun loungers serve the entire building, so in thirteen months of residence no opportunity for sunbathing has arisen. The lifeguard’s break between one and two o’clock closes the pool for that hour. Recently parents and nannies have begun bringing children into the gym, where they run, shout and interact with potentially dangerous equipment. A report of this practice produced a notice permitting children under fourteen under adult supervision—an absurd policy. Residence here cannot be recommended. (Positives: 24/7 Maintenance. Negatives: Everything else.)”
