Barsha Heights, still widely called Tecom, is the block of towers between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Barsha, next to Dubai Internet City and Media City. It is mixed use rather than purely residential: apartments, offices, hotel apartments and serviced units share the same streets, and a good share of the housing comes furnished.
That mix suits the people who live here, mostly younger professionals working in the media and tech free zones a few minutes away, and rents undercut Marina and The Greens. It is dense. Parking is paid and tight, Hessa Street backs up at rush hour, and the towers date from the mid 2000s, so upkeep is uneven.
