Al Hamriya is a small Bur Dubai district between Al Raffa and Al Karama, running back from Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road towards the Creek. It is old, dense and largely residential, with commercial streets cutting through it. Some of the blocks look across the water to Al Ras on the Deira side.
Rents are low and BurJuman and the metro are a short walk, which is most of the appeal. A lot of landlords here let to families only, so it is harder going for single tenants. The buildings are older mid-rise with the parking and maintenance problems that come with that, and the roads around it stay busy most of the day.

How the Al Hamriya ranking is built
Residents answer the same ten questions about daily life at home, and tens of thousands of public reviews of the same buildings are sorted into those same ten questions. A resident’s answer outweighs a visitor’s; padded stars and review farms are stripped before anything is counted. What survives becomes one score out of ten, comparable across every building in Dubai. The full method.
