City Walk is a Meraas development in Al Wasl, on Al Safa Street between Downtown and Jumeirah Beach Road. It is laid out as pedestrian boulevards with shops and restaurants at street level and apartments in low-rise blocks above and behind, one to four beds plus duplexes. The Coca-Cola Arena and The Green Planet sit inside it.
It is one of the few places in Dubai where you can genuinely walk to dinner, and it is priced for that. Downtown is a short drive or a long walk. The retail is the point and also the drawback: weekends bring crowds and visitor traffic to the doorstep, and service charges run high even by central standards.
