Al Sufouh is the coastal strip between Dubai Marina and Umm Suqeim, split into Al Sufouh 1 and 2, with Media City, Knowledge Village and Madinat Jumeirah inside it or on its edges. The housing is villas on the inland side and a small number of low-rise apartment buildings. The tram runs along Al Sufouh Road.
The beach here is quieter than JBR and the free zones are minutes away, which is why media and university people end up in it. It is expensive, and there is not much to rent: the apartment stock is small, so choice is thin and turnover slow. Daily shopping usually means driving to Marina or Al Barsha.
