Al Raffa is one of the oldest parts of Bur Dubai, bordered by Al Mankhool, Al Fahidi, Al Hudaiba and the port. It is dense and low to mid-rise, built out long before the towers, with shops, small hotels and the Al Khaleej Centre mixed in among the apartment blocks. Al Ghubaiba and Al Fahidi are the closest metro stations.
Rents are among the cheapest in Dubai and the location is genuinely central, which is the trade most people here are making. The area is congested, the buildings look their age, and street parking is a daily problem. What a block is like inside varies far more than the address suggests.

How the Al Raffa ranking is built
Residents answer the same ten questions about daily life at home, and tens of thousands of public reviews of the same buildings are sorted into those same ten questions. A resident’s answer outweighs a visitor’s; padded stars and review farms are stripped before anything is counted. What survives becomes one score out of ten, comparable across every building in Dubai. The full method.
