Al Qusais

Al Qusais sits in eastern Dubai between the airport and the Sharjah border, and splits into a residential half and an industrial one. The residential side runs off Al Nahda Road and Damascus Street, mostly low and mid-rise blocks with shops on the ground floor. Five Green Line stations sit inside it or on its edge, which is rare for an area this cheap.

Rents are among the lowest in the city, and the tenants are largely families and long-stay expatriates working nearby or across the border. Schools, clinics and supermarkets are within walking distance of most blocks. A lot of the housing dates from the 1990s and 2000s, so lifts, cooling and parking vary sharply from one building to the next.
